How dice rolls work
When the DM requests a roll, a panel shows the roll type, the die, and any DC. You can roll physical dice and type the result, or tap the virtual die.
d20 checks (skills, saves, attacks, initiative): submit the raw die result — the DM applies your modifiers from the character sheet. If you accidentally submit a modified total, don't panic; the DM is lenient with plausible numbers.
Damage rolls (anything with dice notation in the request, like "Damage (1d8+3)"): submit the final total including the modifier. The panel enforces the possible range — a 1d4+1 can only ever be 2–5 — so impossible totals are caught before they reach the DM.
One roll is live at a time. If you act past a pending roll, it's superseded — the DM moves on with the story.
