How combat works
When a fight starts, the DM calls for initiative. Once everyone rolls, a combat tracker appears showing turn order, enemy health, and conditions.
On your turn, say what you do — attack, cast, shove, flee, improvise. The DM requests attack and damage rolls as needed and narrates enemy turns itself, ending each round by telling you clearly whose turn is next. In active combat only the current player can act, so a table of friends can't talk over each other's turns.
Sessions never end mid-battle: even at the session turn limit, the fight (and the loot) resolves before the recap.
