The Arcanist's Apprentices

The city's most prominent arcanist died leaving behind eleven apprentices, each claiming to be the legitimate heir to her practice and her tower. Her will, which changes nightly, is cycling through all of them in sequence. Her research — which none of the apprentices can access yet — is what every faction in the city actually wants. The party is hired to determine which apprentice is real. All eleven pass every test.
